Are you a new (or prospective) peer reviewer for a student journal? Wondering how the peer review process works, or how to be an effective peer reviewer? The Library Publishing team, in collaboration with the Spectrum editorial board, is organizing a training workshop for student journal peer reviewers.

The workshop will introduce students to the peer review process, benefits of being a peer reviewer, what makes a good review, and how to give effective feedback. We hope to also have a hands-on activity facilitated by various journal editors, where participants can learn about the peer review guidelines for different journals, and work through a short practice review in small groups with a journal editor.

The workshop will take place on Thursday, February 27, 2020, from 3:30-5:00pm in 4-02 Cameron Library. Peer reviewers (or prospective peer reviewers) for all student journals are welcome to attend.
